Before an emergency

Before an emergency, organisations are busy preparing an informed response to an emergency. This preparation help us to be ready to help you in times of an emergency.
This involves:

  • risk assessments - assesing the type of hazards that may happen in the LRF Area. See Know your risk .
  • preparing plans - meeting together, discussing the response, writing the plan. See the Library.
  • training & exercising - training staff, testing the plan, all happen on a regular basis.
  • communicating with the public – to provide you with information to prepare, respond and recover from emergencies. See help yourself – before an emergency.

As part of this process the members consider your needs and implement those into the response plans.
